Free accessibility check
Scan any page for machine-detectable WCAG 2.1 AA issues — alt text, form labels, contrast, headings, ARIA and more. No signup, results in seconds.
A WCAG 2.1 AA check across all four principles
Enter any URL and we run deterministic accessibility checks — the machine-verifiable parts of WCAG — then score them and explain how to fix each issue. We also flag, honestly, what still needs a human audit.
👁️ Perceivable
Image alt text, image buttons & maps, media captions, and measurable colour-contrast problems.
🖱️ Operable
Links without accessible text, heading structure, skip-to-content links and keyboard-reachable controls.
💡 Understandable
Page language, form-field labels and a present, descriptive page title.
🧱 Robust
Duplicate IDs, broken ARIA references and invalid ARIA roles that assistive tech can't parse.
Three steps to a clearer picture
1. Enter your URL
Paste the address of the page you want to check and run the scan.
2. We analyse it
We fetch the page and run 15 deterministic WCAG checks across the four principles.
3. Read your report
Get an accessibility score, per-principle results, fixes, and what still needs manual testing.
What a machine can and cannot tell you about accessibility
Automated tools find the measurable problems: missing alt text, form fields without labels, low contrast, broken ARIA references and skipped heading levels. Those are real, and they are usually quick to fix, which makes them the right place to start.
They cannot judge whether an alt text is actually useful, whether the focus order makes sense, or whether a keyboard user can finish a checkout. That part takes a person with a keyboard and a screen reader, so we never describe a scan result as compliance.
The order we fix things in
- Give every image and image button a meaningful text alternative, or mark decorative ones as such.
- Label every form field and make sure links and buttons have text a screen reader can announce.
- Fix measurable contrast problems and repair the heading structure and landmarks.
- Clean up ARIA, then tab through the page yourself and see where you get stuck.
Questions we get
No. It means the machine-detectable items passed. Full conformance needs manual testing as well.
It checks the machine-detectable part of WCAG 2.1 level AA, for the single page you enter.
It is a good sample, but templates differ. Check your home page, a product or article page and the checkout.
Want a full accessibility audit?
Automated checks catch only part of WCAG. AutCode's engineers run the manual tests too — keyboard flows, focus order, real contrast, screen-reader behaviour — and deliver a fix-by-fix remediation plan. Send us your scan for a free quote.
